New Babies...

Not too long ago my wife and I were announcing the
birth of our little boy, Gabriel Ryley. Now we have
another birth to announce!!
On Tuesday September 23rd, EPIC Student Church held its very first public church gathering at Dewey's Coffee Bar, Lounge, and Eatery at the U of A campus. 'Coincidentally' (or perhaps by God's planning and destiny?!) that date was also the exact date of the University of Alberta's 100th birthday (which we were actually unaware of until the day of)!
As you can imagine, life is very busy in the early days of a new birth, so the EPIC leadership team has been humming. There is incredible momentum and excitement over the journey that God has for us in this church planting adventure.
On a personal note, as the Pentecostal Chaplain at the University of Alberta, I am very excited about the new phase that Pentecostal Campus Ministries is entering into with EPIC. I think a student church is an ideal fit in terms of a specific 'ministry vehicle' for helping students find meaningful spirituality and community during their time on campus.
